TATA AIA Life Insurance appoints Mukesh Dhawan as Deputy Chief Executive Officer and Chief Distribution Officer

Mr. Dhawan brings to the table unique perspective and depth of experience by the virtue of working with the insurance industry in India as well as other key markets in Asia for over a decade. He played a pivotal role in the success of Premier Agency for AIA, a strategic initiative to enhance the high standards of the sales force by taking them through a fast track route to Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT) membership. MDRT membership from across AIA’s subsidiaries has steadily increased over the last three years and is projected to have more than 2,000 MDRT members in 2012.

Based out of Mumbai, Mr. Dhawan will be reporting to Tata AIA Life Managing Director & CEO Suresh Mahalingam. For the way forward, he will be responsible for creating and implementing new strategies in marketing, product development and distribution.

TATA AIA Life Insurance Company Limited (Tata AIA Life) today announced the appointment of Mr. Mukesh Dhawan as the Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Distribution Officer with immediate effect. Mr. Dhawan is joining the company from AIA where he was most recently the Group’s Regional Chief Agency Officer, responsible for Singapore, Malaysia, China and Taiwan markets.
