IRDA NEWS:IRDA changes advertisements norms for insurers

According to IRDA, the joint ads released should be filed with the regulator in seven days from the date of release

 

All insurance companiesare now permitted to release joint sales advertisements with their corporate ormicro insurance agent without the prior approval of the insurance regulator.

According to a circularissued by IRDA (Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority), which hasmodified the existing advertising norms, the joint advertisements releasedshould be filed with the regulator in seven days from the date of release. Thesemodified guidelines will come into force with immediate effect, the circularsaid.
