HDFC ERGO General Insurance name change gets IRDAI approval

IRDAI has agreed to change of name of HDFC ERGO General Insurance Co Ltd following the merger of HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company Ltd with HDFC General Insurance Ltd. HDFC General Insurance was earlier known as L&T General Insurance Co. The IRDAI had earlier approved the merger of HDFC ERGO General Insurance Company with HDFC General Insurance.
