Seminar on “Liability Insurance – Underwriting and Claims Settlement” by Kolkata Insurance Institute

Organized by Kolkata Insurance Institute, the 1^st Local Seminar on “Liability Insurance-Underwriting and Claims Settlement” was held on July 20, 2019 at the Regional Training Centre of National Insurance Co. Ltd., Kolkata Regional Office. The seminar was inaugurated by Mr Pradip Sarkar, Principal, College of Insurance. In his inaugural speech Mr Sarkar briefly narrated several liability insurance while mentioning Bhopal Gas tragedy. Ex-Faculty member, National Insurance Academy, Pune and faculty member of College of Insurance Kolkata, Mr P N Karmakar was the main speaker in the seminar. He talked about several topics including public liability, workmen compensation and product liability. He shed light on various acts like W.C. Act during his presentation.

Mr Rudranil Paul, the Divisional Manager of National Insurance Co. Ltd, Kolkata-DO, took his session on Professional Indemnity. While delivering his speech he cited instances for better understanding. He also answered several queries of audience.
