National Health Insurance Scheme

As per recent Budget, the Naitonal Health Insurance Scheme will cover over 10 crore vulnerable families to provide a cover of upto Rs. 5 lakh per family for secondary and tertiary hospitalisation. The sucess of scheme would depend upon pricing and service. “In principle, 10 crore families is a big number and the scheme is positive,” Bhargav Dasgupta, MD & CEO, ICICI Lombard General Insurance.
