Life Insurance Corporation of India has announced promotional exams for its officers. Under the new system the officers will be required to appear in written examination to be conducted by LIC.
The following persons will be eligible to apply for LIC promotional exams
Assistant Administrative Officer, Assistant Branch Manager, Assistant Engineer and equivalent cadre
Administrative Officer, Branch Manager, Executive Engineer and equivalent cadre
Assistant Divisional Manager, Senior Branch Manager, Executive Engineer and equivalent cadre
The committee has decided various parameters like Confidential Reports, Examination, Interview and Seniority for considering for promotion.
Examination
The nature of examination shall be multiple choice questions and shall carry maximum of 100 marks
There will be negative marks for each wrong answer
Three level of examination has been prescribed and officers must select 2 papers
Random questions from both subjects will be asked.
Interview:
For promotion to the cadre of Divisional manager/ Superintending engineer and equivalent cadre eligible officers shall be required to appear for the interview. Number of candidates called for the interview shall be limited to maximum 3 times of number of vacancy.
Seniority:
Three marks shall be awarded for each completed year of service in the existing cadre as on 1st April of teh promotion year.
Contingency list:
The number of candidates selected for contingencies shall be 10% of the number of vacancies subject to minimum of one
