IRDA NEWS: IRDA unveils online tool to compare insurance

The Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority (Irda) has introduced an online application that enables users to compare non-life insurance products of different insurers.

 

The application currently lets users browse through different features of the products such as coverages, exclusions, discounts and deductibles among others.

According to J Harinarayan, chairman, Irda, the application has been developed to providing a mechanism for consumers to make an informed decision when it comes to buying a life insurance cover. The comparison is indicative of a specific coverage being applicable or not.
