FASTag for 4 wheelers

FASTag, a device enabling automatic deduction of toll charges without motorists having to stop at toll plazas to make the payment, shall be fitted in all 4 wheelers sold in India. The decision was taken in line with the government’s push for digitization and cashless payments, especially after cash crunch faced due to demonetisation. It shall also help reduce congestion at toll plazas, and petrol consumption by idling vehicles, and speed up traffic.
