Chola MS General Insurance launches 4 new health insurance products

Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Limited, a joint venture between the Murugappa Group and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Group Japan, has launched four new products under the health insurance umbrella.

The four products namely Chola Individual Healthline, Family Floater Healthline, Critical Healthline, Hospital Cash Healthline, cover an individual against hospitalisation expenses with option of including spouse, dependent children, dependent parents and parents-in-law. Some of the other unique customer friendly features of these products are – Lifetime renewal, Chola Wellness Service (CWS) which offers healthcare related reminders to the policy holders through SMS. The policies cover individuals up to 55 years of age without any medical check-up and upto 65 years post medical check-up.

Chola Individual Healthline (IHL) policy covers outpatient coverage for Dental and Eye care treatments, Maternity related fees, besides 141 day care and hospitalisation expenses. IHL is India’s first health insurance policy to cover hospitalization for Ayurveda treatment. The policy offers continuity benefits of claim-free bonus and 30 days waiting period waiver from the previous policy with any other insurance company.

Customers can choose from two plan options for sum insured of up to `10 lakhs. The Standard Plan covers 10 critical illnesses and the Advanced Plan covers 12 critical illness plus ambulance charges up to `1000.

The list of diseases covered under the policy are Cancer, Stroke, First heart attack, Open Chest CABG, Kidney Failure, Major Organ / Bone Marrow Transplant, Primary Pulmonary Hypertension, Surgery of Aorta, Multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease and Motor Neuron Disease.
