Tata AIG General’s e-commerce platform is the most recognized and awarded

Tata AIG’s innovative E-Commerce website has been bestowed many awards including the recently announced Celent Model Insurer Award 2012 for CRM under Service and Travel Insurance under marketing.

The prestigious award recognized Tata AIG’s technological innovation and efficiency in customer relationship management; and for their unique online travel insurance platform.

The various awards won by Tata AIG General Insurance are:

According to the annual I-Cube Report jointly published by IAMAI and IMRB, India’s internet population is expected to be 121 million users in 2011. Out of 121 million, 97 million are expected to be active Internet users. Ecommerce activities are on a rise, primarily driven by Travel and online ticketing.

The Tata AIG E-commerce website amongst various services gives its’ prospective customers the option to buy travel insurance online and also track various claims under its CRM services.

Another distinctive advantage of the online system is that it offers online quote generation and online claims registration from anywhere in the world. The policy document is mailed to the customer instantaneously thus preventing any issues of delivery delays.

Further Tata AIG introduced the feature of Online Notification & Tracking of Claims across all products. This feature allows policy holders to register claims online, enables them to submit information about their loss online and immediately provides them with a claim reference number. In addition, the claim reference number automatically cedes into the Claims & CRM system for future reference.

The policy holder no longer needs to call, fax or write to the service center with a loss notice and wait for an acknowledgement letter. It offers claim status tracking providing the Policy Holders with daily updates of claim activities including initial loss notification, payments and key status updates.
