Key Features of Depreciation Cover

  • 100% repayment on the depreciated parts at the time of claim settlement
  • Avail repairing costs of fiber glass, rubber, tyres, batteries, air bags, nylon, and plastic parts.
  • Vehicle is not more than 5 years old from the date of purchase (i.e. month and year of manufacturing).
  • The company shall pay the Depreciation amount deducted on the value of the parts replaced for upto 2 admissible claims * under Section I of the policy

Inclusions

  1. Loss or damage due to:
    • Accident, burglary or theft
    • Riot and strike
    • Fire explosion self-ignition or lightning
    • Natural Calamities
    • Transit by road, rail, inland waterways, air or lift
  2. Personal Accident cover for owner/driver of the car. Death benefit of Rs.2 lakhs for the owner/driver in case of accidental death. Third party bodily injury liability covers penalty to be given to victim. It covers the injury or death of the person hit by you.
  3. Property damage liability
    Covers penalty you need to pay in case of damage to the properties due to the accident caused by you up to the limits as specified in the policy.

Exclusions

Loss or damage to the car is not included under following conditions

  1. Normal wear and tear
  2. Depreciation of the car is not covered
  3. Electrical & mechanical failure
  4. If you drive the car outside India
  5. If you are driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  6. If the person driving doesn’t have valid driving license
  7. Nuclear risks
  8. If you use Vehicle for other purposes. Ex: If the private vehicle is used as Taxi
